Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne uses CBD to relieve pain from recent injuries
2019 has been a tough year for the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy was set to perform extensively on his semi-farewell tour “No More Tours 2” this year. Though after extensive illnesses and a more recent injury, he was forced to cancel all of his live appearances through the end of 2019.
In April of 2019, Ozzy battled through an upper respiratory infection which led to pneumonia nixing his 2019 spring European and Australian tour dates. The singer then fell at his Los Angeles home and re-aggravated injuries he suffered from his 2003 ATV accident. The new injuries required surgery resulting in the postponement of his 2019 North American tour dates.
In a new interview with U.K. daytime talk show “Loose Women” on May 23 2019 (video below), Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne shared an update on her husband’s health. She mentions that her husband Ozzy has been using high grade CBD to alleviate the pain from the injuries he sustained during the fall.
“He’s had a really tough year, really,” began Sharon. “It started off with flu, which went to bronchitis, which went to pneumonia. He was hospitalized, came out, he was well on the road to recovery, and he gets up in the middle of the night to go to the loo for his… and on the way back, he tripped up on the carpet that was under our bed and fell against the corner of the night table, which is made of mirror.”
She also added, that Ozzy is in “terrible pain, and his pain is, he’s not good at being at home. He wants to be back on the road, back on his tour, back with his band, and he’s pining. Really, the challenge is not his injuries, it’s his state of mind to keep him positive and working.”
The talk show hosts then asked, with a bit of concern, if Ozzy – who has a history of addiction – might get hooked into painkillers during his recovery. Sharon shed some light on his recovery and responded with “He’s off all of that. He had to have it after he was operated on the last time. But now for pain, he has that CBD and he’s dealing with it that way.”
CBD, primarily in oil form, has been the go-to nowadays for pain relief. Folks experiencing mid to high levels of pain are becoming more wary of the negative side effects most medications have to offer. People are discovering more and more that holistic medicine, such as Cannabidiol (CBD), alleviates their symptoms without any negative side effects at all. More recently, bigger names are recognizing the medicinal benefits such as Phil Mickelson who was seen taking CBD at the Masters.
